Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position is available in an acute care facility located in North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with various medical conditions, including stroke, COPD, chest pain, and other acute illnesses. The position requires a committed healthcare professional to support a busy medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities.
Job Details
Position Description: Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurse position at an acute care facility with 109 licensed beds, serving adult patients with diverse diagnoses such as stroke, COPD, and GI bleed.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), 18 months of medical-surgical telemetry experience, valid drivers license, and insurance.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke assessments and managing cardiac rhythms.
Additional Information: The role involves supporting the department with duties such as vital signs, ADLs, and possibly inserting Foley catheters or removing IVs for discharge (if certified). Staff may float to multiple regional facilities as needed. Orientation will be 2 days; unit culture emphasizes positivity and teamwork.
