Job Description
nThis position follows a streamlined clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within a short timeframe following their application, with decisions typically made promptly.
nAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the care of assigned patients during your shift. Key responsibilities include:
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while considering age-specific criteria.
Utilizing scientific knowledge and clinical skills to make informed judgments regarding patient care.
Assisting in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
n Shift Information
n Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-Hour Nights)
Hours: 36 Hour Guarantee
Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend
On Call Requirements: No Call
n Qualifications
n Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
Attendance and punctuality are crucial, with a commitment to reporting for all assigned shifts on time.
Demonstrated competence with cardiac medications (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Cardine, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex) and knowledge of titration and application of these medications.
Proficiency in telemetry with an understanding of heart rhythms.
Critical thinking skills to recognize changes in patient status and take appropriate intervention measures.
Adequate knowledge of stroke signs and symptoms, with the ability to respond swiftly to changes in patient condition.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
n Certification Requirements
n Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIHSS Certification.
n Licensure Requirements
n Must possess an active Ohio RN License or a Compact RN License.
