Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) registered nurse needed in the healthcare organization. This position involves floating within multiple Medical Surgical and Telemetry units at the facility, delivering high-quality patient care within the scope of practice. The role requires adaptability to various units and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
Certifications Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) License, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLR), Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Education and Experience: 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in similar roles, and 5 years of patient ratio experience
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Qualifications: Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tubes (PleurEvac), cerebrovascular accident management, ER holding, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions/PPE, insulin protocols, dysrhythmia management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis, neurosurgery, renal failure, spinal cord injury, IV insertion, surgical drains, telemetry, tracheostomy care, use of rapid response / code teams, wound care/vac management.
Additional Information: Will float to multiple units within scope of practice, including adult and geriatric patient populations. Clinical experience in cardiac, trauma, neuro, or surgical care preferred. Candidates must complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, provide verifiable work history spanning 7 years, and meet compliance documentation deadlines.
Submission Requirements: All candidates must submit applicable certifications with valid expiration dates, two references obtained within the last year, and a current Nursys license uploaded within the last 2 weeks.
