Job Overview
nThis position involves providing care in a medical-surgical and telemetry environment during night shifts. The role requires a strong commitment to patient care and collaboration within the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
n Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with orthopedic and surgical needs.
Monitor patients' vital signs and ECG rhythms, responding promptly to changes in their condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in patient education regarding health management and post-operative care.
n Qualifications
n Must possess a valid and unencumbered Ohio nursing license or a compact license.
A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing is required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory (AHA or American Red Cross). NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is required.
Must provide one recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty.
n Schedule
nThis role requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on a night schedule.
Unit Information
nThe successful candidate will work in a dedicated orthopedic and surgical unit, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients with specialized needs.
