MedSurg/Ortho Travel RN – Job Description
Unit: MedSurg/Ortho | Trauma Level: 2
Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM, EOW
Hours: 36 hrs/week guaranteed
Experience: 2–3 years MedSurg/Ortho + previous travel experience
Certifications: BLS required
EMR: Cerner
Ratio: 1:5
Patients: Orthopedic cases including hips, knees, shoulders, and spine
Floating: Tele and other MedSurg floors; must be able to read/interpret telemetry
Scrubs: Navy
Orientation: 12 hours / 1 unit orientation shift
BSN: Not required
Additional: No vents or drips. Hospitalist, RT, and pharmacy available 24/7. Must be a strong team player. Holiday RTO may be considered but is not guaranteed.
