Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Elmira, New York.

Job Summary: RN – Stroke Telemetry Unit n
n Deliver evidence-based, protocol-driven care to acute stroke and complex telemetry patients in a 34-bed, high-acuity medical-surgical unit.
n
n Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including the NIH Stroke Scale.
n
n Monitor and accurately interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to any changes.
n
n Ensure compliance with stroke core measures (e.g., dysphagia screening, patient education, care planning).
n
n Administer medications safely in accordance with BCMA standards.
n
n Collaborate effectively with providers, therapists, case management, and the interdisciplinary team.
n
n Manage patient admissions, discharges, and overall patient flow in a fast-paced setting.
n
n Prioritize patient safety, including fall prevention and skin integrity.
n
n Provide compassionate, holistic, and evidence-based care tailored to the needs of stroke and telemetry patients.
n Med Ninjas Job ID #15479. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
