The role is ideal for an experienced travel RN who is confident managing telemetry patients and adapting to rotating day and night shifts. Travel RN Job Details Location: Needham, Massachusetts, near Boston Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Unit: Nursing Float Pool Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600 Start Date: January 4, 2027 Assignment Duration: 8 weeks Schedule: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts Shift Times: 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and rotating holidays Work Setting: On-site Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Recent Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and patient-care skills Travel Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and telemetry patients in a float pool environment Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, clinical status, and changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Complete thorough patient assessments, care plans, clinical documentation, and patient education using Epic Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns according to clinical protocols Promote patient safety, infection prevention, comfort, and continuity of care Adapt effectively to varying unit assignments and patient-care needs within the nursing float pool Apply now to join this Medical-Surgical Telemetry travel nursing contract in Needham, Massachusetts, near Greater Boston.
