Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical unit serving urology and GYN surgical populations
Manage a patient assignment with a typical ratio of 1:7
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
Rotate every other weekend, float as needed, and work holidays within the contract period, including two of the three winter holidays
Document accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two years of recent, relevant Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience
Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Proficiency in Epic EMR required — no exceptions
Must pass a telemetry/EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt allowed; no remediation available)
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; address verification required prior to offer acceptance
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Experience caring for post-surgical patient populations, including urology and GYN
Strong telemetry interpretation skills, including interval measurements and complex rhythm identification
