Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient assessment
Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
Adhere to a rotating weekend schedule, with approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
NIHSS certification required
Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in a Medical Surgical inpatient setting
Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological patient populations
Experience working night shift in an acute care environment
