Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holidays Required | Schedule may vary based on unit need
Key Responsibilities
Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a Med Surg and Remote Telemetry unit
Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices for a patient population that includes Med Surg, Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
Administer medications using bedside barcode scanning
Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments as needed
Document patient care using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility for Georgia)
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required
Recent Cerner charting experience required
Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Orthopedic, Post-operative, CHF, or Respiratory patient populations
Comfort working in high-volume units (approximately 810 patient encounters per month)
Ability to adapt to varying patient ratios (expected 1:6–7 patients)
