Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6–1:7; candidates must be comfortable with a ratio of up to 1:7
Titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results as required
Monitor and manage patients on intermittent BiPAP; unit does not utilize ventilators
Work alongside PCTs and collaborate with remote monitor technicians overseeing telemetry
Float to other units as needed based on census; travelers are first to float
Required Qualifications
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license; any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
BLS certification (required)
NIHSS certification (required)
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as scheduled (typically half of total weekends)
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
A copy of candidate's unexpired driver's license must be included with all submissions
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience working on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
Familiarity with heparin drip titration protocols
Experience with scheduling platforms such as Qgenda
