TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified NICU RN in Monroe, Louisiana, 71202!

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care across both the NICU and Newborn Nursery settings
Attend high-risk deliveries and manage all newborn diagnoses for NICU and Well-Baby
Conduct car seat testing as part of newborn discharge readiness protocols
Occasional floating to postpartum and pediatrics based on unit needs
Work every other weekend, with an expected 2–4 shifts per 4-week schedule
Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's); holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
Required Qualifications
Active Compact or Louisiana RN license required in hand at time of submittal
Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU specialty required
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and CPI
AHA certifications required
Epic EMR experience required
NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
Two Manager or Supervisor references (PDF format) will be required prior to start; Charge RN references are not accepted
Any requested time off must be noted on your profile and discussed during the interview
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers will be considered
Familiarity with Well-Baby and Newborn Nursery workflows in addition to NICU
Comfort working in a dynamic unit environment with variable census (average daily census of 10)
