Position Overview
nWe are seeking a dedicated Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients with complex neurological conditions. This role involves working with a diverse patient population and managing critical situations effectively.
Responsibilities
n Care for Neurocritical Care patients including those with ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes, post-thrombectomies, traumatic brain injuries, status epilepticus, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological diagnoses requiring intensive care.
Utilize specialized equipment such as intracranial pressure monitors and external ventricular drains.
Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in patient and family education to promote understanding of conditions and treatment plans.
n Shift Information
n Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 based on traveler preference
Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15
Block scheduling may be accommodated
n Qualifications
n Minimum 1 year of Neuro ICU experience required
First-time travelers are welcome
Required Certifications: n ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
AL or Compact Nursing License required
Ability to float to the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) as needed
Every other weekend work required
