Job Summary:
Neurology Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical (MS NEURO) on a Neuro unit. This position involves delivering expert patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on neuro patient assessment, education, and safety. The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality outcomes and ensure patient-centered care.
Job Details:
Schedule: 7.5-hour shift, minimum of 37.5 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/23/2027.
Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience; 2 years minimum healthcare experience; 1 year travel experience (not required for per diem positions); EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro/neurology nursing; strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills; proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, clinical documentation, safety practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
Additional Information: The nurse will perform charge duties as assigned, coordinate supplies and staff resources, and support patient throughput and safety initiatives. The role encourages professional development, ethical decision-making, and active participation in clinical initiatives and committees.
