Concentric Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Schedule / Job TypeContract Nights 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (18:45-07:15) Onsite
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 and a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float as needed to Mother Baby (couplet care) and Pediatrics units based on departmental needs
Provide every-other-weekend coverage as part of standard scheduling expectations
Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
Be available to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation
In the event of an emergency, be prepared to remain at the facility or serve as part of a relief team as directed by unit management
Required QualificationsActive Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
BLS certification (AHA) required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years of NICU experience required for first-time travelers
Epic EMR experience required
Up-to-date NURSYS report (within 4 weeks of submission date) required for RNs
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / SkillsPrior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
Familiarity with neonatal patient diagnoses and procedures common to a high-acuity NICU environment
Experience with couplet care or pediatric float coverage
