Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor (MS ONC) registered nurse position is based in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care to oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy, management of ports, and addressing oncologic emergencies. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 02/15/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), 1 year of nursing experience, BLS certification, chemotherapy certification (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation or Oncology Nursing Society), experience with administration of chemotherapy, continuous infusion, port care, and management of oncologic emergencies, including sepsis, extravasation injury, and tumor lysis syndrome.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients.
Float: Float rotation may be required to other units and facilities to meet patient care needs.
Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Will be expected to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays, with all scheduling and time-off requests to be made upfront during submission. Candidates will be required to have references covering the past 1 year.
