Contract | Full-Time | Days | 4x10s | 0630–1700 | Expected 40 hours/week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and provide high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care
Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments; accurately document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments, evaluate discharge planning appropriateness, and communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
Required to take call; may float in rotation, including as a sitter
Required Qualifications
Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license
Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Experience with Craniotomy and Retina procedures required
Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards
Must adhere to applicable facility policies and unit standards
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an Operating Room setting with complex surgical cases
Demonstrated ability to delegate appropriately and oversee non-licensed assistive personnel
Experience participating in performance improvement processes and evidence-based practice initiatives
