Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position involves working in a busy surgical environment, with responsibilities including scrub and circulate duties. Candidates must have prior travel experience in this specialty and possess the necessary certifications and licenses to be considered for this role.
Job Details
Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
2 years of experience in the relevant specialty, BLS certification, active VA or Compact license, Cerner preferred, all required time off (RTO) documentation must be submitted at the time of application
Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 09/08/2026 and 09/21/2026, occurring every other Monday. The traveler will work four shifts per week, including two 8-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 3:15 pm) and two 12-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 7:15 pm). Up to three call shifts per week, including weekend rotations, are required. Scrub and circulate experience is mandatory, with specific expertise in Vascular, Neurosurgery, and Da Vinci robotic procedures. No more than three call shifts are permitted per week from Monday to Friday, and no more than three weekends over six on-call weekends in a six-week schedule. Local applicants are not accepted. The client reserves the right to cancel shifts up to 36 hours prior to the assignment due to census fluctuations.
Experience: Minimum of two years in the relevant operating room specialty
Certifications: BLS required
Licensure: Active VA or Compact license at the time of submission
Travel: Travel is required for this assignment
Float: Not required
