Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Amarillo, Texas.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Local Rule: Must live 100+ miles from the facility
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong trauma experience , primarily for circulating duties . The RN will support operative procedures, prepare the OR, coordinate with the surgical team, and provide safe intraoperative patient care.
Requirements
3 years of OR experience required
Trauma experience required
Circulating RN experience required
Graduate of an accredited/NLN-approved RN program
Current RN license in the applicable state
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS required
BSN highly preferred
Responsibilities
Perform OR circulating and/or scrubbing duties
Prepare the operating room for procedures
Assemble and check equipment and supplies
Ensure equipment is functioning properly
Verify required supplies and implants are available
Maintain appropriate aseptic/sterile technique
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other OR team members
Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team
Assist with admissions to the operative suite
Call Requirements
Call coverage is required and may vary based on staffing and PTO:
Monday–Friday: 3:30 PM–7:00 PM
Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Saturday/Sunday: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Holiday call required: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve night, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve night, and New Year's Day
Expect approximately 1–2 call shifts , depending on staffing needs
