Job Summary
PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Dublin, GA
This position involves providing post-operative care in a 14-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit within a general community hospital setting. The role requires delivering pre-operative and post-operative patient management, with a focus on pediatric and neuro post-operative care. The position offers a opportunity to work in a supportive environment with designated responsibilities aligned with clinical competency requirements.
Job Details
Responsibilities: Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including IV starts, administration of IV infusions, Foley insertions, and EKG monitoring.
Certifications Required: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
Required Qualifications: Must have experience in pre-operative and post-operative care; Pediatric and Neuro post-operative competency set to be completed at the facility or through on-base training.
Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Experience: 0 years minimum.
Additional Information: The unit is a Level 3 Trauma Center with a focus on pediatric and neuro postoperative procedures. On-base training for specific competencies is required. Candidates should be adaptable to float within surgical services if needed, following facility policy.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must attach unit-specific policies and guidelines and hold current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
