Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN opportunity available in a Level II Trauma Center. The position involves providing postoperative care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on ensuring patient stability, pain management, and recovery readiness. This role is suitable for first-time travelers and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety.
Job Details
Schedule: 4x10-hour evening shifts (starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 9:00 PM) with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Assignment start date is 10/19/2026, with an end date of 12/14/2026.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of PACU or related experience, ACLS and BLS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system, trauma level II experience, community hospital background, and previous charge nurse experience are preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: This facility follows ASPAN standards and is classified as a Level II Trauma Center.
Patient population includes pediatric (1 year+), adult, and geriatric patients, with a wide variety of surgical procedures performed.
The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
The hospital has approximately 571 total beds across two campuses.
Orientation includes 30 hours.
Travel experience is not required for this position.
Must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and submit all scheduling/RTO requests upfront.
Candidates must respond to the required questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility and provide two recent references covering the last 3 years.
