Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) RN in Winchester, VA The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced PACU nurse to join their team. This role involves providing post-anesthesia care to pediatric and adult patients in a busy surgical center, with an emphasis on safety, recovery, and patient comfort.
Job Details
Position: RN Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Winchester, VA
Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Must have 2+ years of Pre-Operative, Post-Operative, and PACU experience with children. Epic electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency is required. VA State License or Compact license, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: N/A
Responsibilities: Providing post-anesthesia recovery care for pediatric and adult patients, monitoring vital signs, assessing patient comfort, and ensuring safe transition from anesthesia to ward care.
Additional Information: Will be working in a unit with 6 OR beds and a patient ratio of 2:1.
