We are seeking an experienced Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
n Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 3x12 Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, weekdays, with some weekends required
Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4; may flex to 1:5 during emergencies
Blocked Schedule Consideration: Weekend blocks (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon) available
n Unit Information
nThe Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit primarily caters to patients with varying acuity levels, often including individuals who may be classified as Progressive Care or Tele patients in larger healthcare settings.
Qualifications
n Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS
Skills Required: IV start
Telemetry monitoring
Experience Required: 1.5 - 2+ years of nursing experience
1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
2 years of experience in Stepdown care
Ability to interpret cardiac strips
Travel Experience: Not required
Scrubs: Not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
EMR System: Cerner
n Additional Information
nHoliday requests for time off should be limited to a maximum of 2 of the 4 major holidays. This position offers a valuable opportunity for nurses looking to expand their experience in a supportive environment.
