Job Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensen
Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care unit experience in an acute care setting requiredn
BLS and ACLS requiredn
NIHSS preferredn
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythmsn
Comfortable working every other weekend and holidays as neededn
Willingness to float as needed and assist with ICU tasks when appropriaten
Must meet the 75-mile travel radius requirementn
Professional appearance standards required, including natural-colored hair and no visible facial piercings, fake nails, shellac, or visible tattoosn
Responsibilities
n Provide safe, compassionate bedside care for progressive care and cardiac stepdown patientsn
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms accuratelyn
Care for patients recovering from cardiovascular and thoracic proceduresn
Administer and titrate medications and drips according to unit protocolsn
Support patients requiring advanced oxygen therapies such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow supportn
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient caren
Assist with admissions, discharges, and high-turnover patient flow on busy shiftsn
Adapt quickly to changing unit needs and provide support across the clinical team as neededn
