Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location
This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Progressive Care Unit, monitoring patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, and responding to emergency situations. The role requires floating within scope across multiple units and facilities, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Job Details
Certifications and Requirements: BLS, NIHSS, Missouri or Compact State Licensure; 2 years of experience preferred, with 1-2 years required.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Provide care for adult and geriatric patients, perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and administer treatments such as feeding tube care, IV therapy, and blood products.
Skills Required: Cardiac telemetry, management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures, wound care, and sepsis management.
Preferred Skills: Sheath removal, gastrointestinal care, and additional procedures such as IV access and phlebotomy.
Additional Conditions: This is a float position, requiring coverage across multiple units and facilities; no local candidates within 75 miles accepted.
Compliance & Training: All candidates must complete required modules and EPIC training prior to start date.
Submission Requirements: Submit all documentation 2 Fridays before the start date, with completed modules due one week prior.
