Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) opportunity available in a healthcare facility located in Derry, NH. This position involves providing patient care on a 20-bed unit, primarily working during night shifts. The role requires supporting patients post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker procedures, with a focus on dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS and BLS. Education requirements include active compact licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Certification in or experience with dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management is essential. Additional skills include strong communication, confidence, positivity in challenging circumstances, and being a team player.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care, pacer patient care, and prior hospital experience are advantageous.
Additional Information: The unit utilizes GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps. EMR utilization is standard. The team includes 5 RNs and 2 Licensed Nursing Assistants, with staffing flexing based on patient volume. The unit has a professional dress code requiring scrubs, and weekend and on-call duties are every other weekend or as needed.
