Position
Role: RN – Acute Care / Progressive Care / Cardiac Care
Facility: 226-bed nonprofit community hospital
Unit: ACU/PCU 20 ACU beds
11 CCU beds
Shift: 12-hour nights
Shift time: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Day shift option also listed: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Guaranteed: 36 hours/week
Contract:13 weeks listed
Option: 48 GWW available
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience
First-time travelers NOT accepted
Must have completed at least 1 previous travel assignment
Simplifi clinical interview + unit final approval required.
Patient Population
Common patients include:
CHF
Respiratory distress
ACS
A-fib RVR
Diabetes
DKA
CVA overflow
Post-cardiac catheterization patients
Vascular patients
Abdominal/GI patients
Some surgical patients
Blood product administration
Patient Ratios
Days: 4:1
Nights: 4–5:1
If an ACU/PCU nurse floats to ICU: Vascular and DKA patients
Maximum ratio 1:3
