Registered Nurse (RN)Position Overview
This is a full-time travel nursing position covering both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and the IMC Thoracic unit. The nurse will work evening and night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holiday shifts required.
Responsibilities
Provide quality nursing care in the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit.
Deliver specialized nursing care in the IMC Thoracic unit.
Monitor and interpret telemetry data, with a focus on oncology and cardiac patients.
Administer care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Direct Observation Unit (DOU), Intermediate Care (IMC), and Stepdown settings.
Manage care for patients requiring ventilator support and organ transplant services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin and compact RN license.
Required experience in telemetry, oncology, cardiac care, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings.
Experience with ventilator management and transplant care.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA.
Successful completion of a Telemetry test prior to starting the position.
Shift Information
This position will require commitment to a night shift schedule of 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Additional Information
Traveling nurses will rotate between specific units as needed and may be required to work in various clinical settings, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in patient care delivery.
