Lancesoft is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse for an exciting Travel Nursing job in Rochester, NY. Shift: 4x12 hr nights Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Pay: $3512 / Week
We are seeking an experienced MSDU/IMCU Registered Nurse (RN) for a tertiary care hospital. The 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is a critical-care step-down unit caring for adult acute-care patients who require a higher level of monitoring and specialized care than a general medical-surgical floor.
The unit receives patients from the ED, PACU, ICU, and medical-surgical floors.
Patients may require continuous telemetry and pulse-oximetry, airway management, acute BiPAP support, arterial and central lines, and titrated IV medication infusions. The RN must be adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable managing changing patient conditions.
Requirements:
* Active New York RN license must be in hand — no exceptions.
* Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
* MedSurg/IMCU/Step-Down experience preferred.
* Must be comfortable managing 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios.
* BLS certification required.
* NIHSS certification required and must be included in the candidate submittal.
* EPIC experience required.
* Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
* Experience with IV therapy, peripheral line management, and phlebotomy.
* Experience with oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management.
* Must be able to respond effectively to emergencies and rapid-response situations.
* First-time travelers are accepted.
* Local candidates must reside outside the 75-mile radius.
* Must be available for 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts.
* Every other weekend required.
