Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekend availability required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
Float to Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; shifts may be consecutive or split
Participate in holiday coverage — expected to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Maintain compliance with all facility credentialing, background, and onboarding requirements prior to start
Required Qualifications
Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rates (locals accepted at a lower rate)
Must submit all time-off requests and scheduling needs upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Lead RNs accepted)
Must be willing to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in Pediatric Med/Surg or NICU in addition to PICU
Familiarity with self-scheduling systems and flexible shift arrangements
Prior travel nursing experience in a pediatric acute care environment
