Healthcare Setting: Pediatric float pool with coverage across multiple inpatient and emergency pediatric unitsn
Start Date: 10/12/2026n
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekendn
Holiday Coverage: Every other holidayn
Orientation: Approximately 60 hoursn
Floating: Required across PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Babyn
Job Requirements
n Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license may be accepted if issued before startn
Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience requiredn
Experience in NICU and comfort caring for pediatric patients across acuity levelsn
Epic experience requiredn
Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications requiredn
Infant-Driven Feeding certification required, or willingness to obtain prior to startn
Travel nursing experience requiredn
BSN preferredn
Ability to work nights and remain flexible in a float pool environmentn
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approachn
Responsibilities
n Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and select adult patients when assignedn
Support care in high-acuity pediatric environments, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, and Acute Pediatricsn
Respond to changing patient needs and adjust quickly to different unit workflows and acuity levelsn
Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation when assigned to NICU coveragen
Deliver care for patients requiring respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex pediatric interventionsn
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and other interdisciplinary team membersn
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established charting standardsn
Adhere to float policies, unit protocols, infection prevention practices, and safety guidelinesn
Support families with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication throughout the care experiencen
