Job description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PEDS PACU)
Join our team as a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PEDS PACU). In this role, you will provide critical care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical or diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor pediatric patients' vital signs and assess their recovery from anesthesia, addressing any complications promptly.
Administer pain management medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Provide emotional support to children and families during the recovery process.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
Educate families on post-discharge care instructions, including medication administration and recovery guidelines.
Document patient progress accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Work Environment:
The role is based in hospital PACUs or specialized pediatric recovery units equipped with advanced monitoring technology.
This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments focused on pediatric care.
