HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Wichita, Kansas.
Job Description & Requirements
Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
Discipline: RN
Duration: 13 weeks
36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, days
Employment Type: Travel
Tell us about the unit(s):
Number of Beds – 9 Preop beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
Number of Staff – 8 full time RN’s (2 of those are open positions), 2 part time RN’s, 4 PRN RN’s and 1 unit HUC
Type of staff:Day Shift – Same as above
Night Shift - 0
Patient Ratios – 1:3
Type of equipment – Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner
EMR - Meditech
Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care Pre-Op RN Hospital experience
BLS & ACLS
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Some preop experience, or ability to help preop staff
Prior Meditech experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Phase 2 recoveries of Urology, GYN and other SDS patients
Pre-op Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, EP, CT patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKG’s, blocks, blood transfusions
Best personality Fit:
Patient experience is a priority
Communication with staff and providers
Application and testing from agency required to be submitted.
