Behavioral Health Travel RN Job Details Job Type: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) travel assignment Location: Columbia, Missouri Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570–$1,650 Start Date: November 9, 2026 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 7, 2027 Schedule: 36 hours per week Shift: 12-hour day shifts Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric behavioral health patients Healthcare Setting: Inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health units Dress Code: Navy or royal blue scrubs Psychiatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license At least 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience Willingness to work flexible shifts and across adolescent and adult behavioral health units Strong communication, clinical judgment, and crisis-management skills Ability to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient behavioral health environment Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Assess patient conditions, monitor behavioral and clinical changes, and update individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and provider orders Support patients experiencing conditions such as major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and the healthcare team Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to support patient stabilization and recovery goals Provide care while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios, including approximately 1:10 for adult and geriatric patients and 1:12 for adolescent patients Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly Apply now for this psychiatric Registered Nurse travel assignment in Columbia, Missouri, and join a dedicated behavioral health nursing team.
