MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Byron Center, Michigan.

Requirements
Active RN License
Degree from accredited nursing program
BLS Certifications
At least eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Psychiatric setting
Other requirements to be determined by client facility
Responsibilities
Psychiatric Nurses (RN) provide care for patients with mental health issues, assessing, diagnosing, and treating them. They work as part of a team to provide total medical care for the patient.
Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in design and delivery of patient care.
Administer and monitor effectiveness and side-effects of psychotropic medications.
Assist patients and families as appropriate to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and to plan healthy lifestyle changes.
Exercise balanced judgement in evaluation situations and make decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a professional manner.
