Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Primarily weekdays 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM | On-call responsibilities per unit need
Key Responsibilities
Assist with chest exposure and closing during cardiac surgical procedures
Independently perform vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) procedures
First assist in complex cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)
Support heart transplant procedures as needed
Fulfill on-call responsibilities as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
Active New York State (NYS) RN License
CNOR Certification required
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
Telemetry competency
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience first assisting in DaVinci robotic surgical cases
Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases
Experience with heart transplant procedures
