Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Job Summary
nThe competent Nurse in a clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing both routine and complex care while focusing on long-range goals and contingency management. The Nurse is responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers to effectively manage the clinical environment.
Responsibilities
n Meets expectations of the applicable competencies in self-leadership and leadership of others.
Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice.
Administers medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, while monitoring for side effects and overall effectiveness.
Documents patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and offers education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers, identifying relevant issues and resources.
n Requirements
nEducation & Skills
n Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
n Experience
n One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
n Licenses & Certifications
n BLS certification from AHA required.
ACLS certification from AHA required.
Active RN License in the state of employment or compact.
n Position Requirements
n Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of employment.
New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, with initial onboarding requirements validated through successful completion of designated competency validations.
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.
n Work Schedule
nNights: 7 PM - 7 AM
Additional Information
n Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
On-call requirement: None.
Nurse to patient ratio: Typically 5:1, but can be 6:1 on occasion.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: Epic.
Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs.
