GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Opportunity:
nRN - Cardiac
Job Details:
n• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
n• 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees available
n• Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours
n• Every other weekend required
n• No on-call requirements
n• Required to float when needed
n• Nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 but can be 6:1 on occasion
n• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
n• Care for patients with MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and some med/surg overflow
n• Manage cardiac drips (no nitrates administered)
n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
n• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
n• Assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
n• Provide patient and family education and identify resources as needed
n• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
n• BLS certification from AHA required
n• ACLS certification from AHA required
n• RN License in state of employment or compact required
n• Temp to perm possibility
Facility:
nThis healthcare facility operates a dedicated cardiac unit providing specialized care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The unit is equipped to manage a variety of cardiac cases and supports med/surg overflow as needed. The facility emphasizes evidence-based nursing practice and fosters a collaborative environment where nurses are empowered to practice independently while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
