TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois.

TravelUNIT: Neuro MS/TELE RNMGR INTERVIEWRequired Certs: Must have current active IL RN license (will accept an active temp IL License). AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med Surg/TELE, 1 travel assignment. Neuro experience required
Float Requirement: Could float to the medical unitWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend. Every other holiday.Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience requiredPatient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram. General medicalSkillset: Will also need to be comfortable taking medical overflow patients.NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, intitate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasic, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!Unit Information: 22 bed Neuro unit - Ratio: 1:4 | Charge nurse will have patient assignmentHard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
