Schedule / Job Type
Full-Time | Contract (13 Weeks) | Onsite | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum 1–2 years of overall nursing experience.
Minimum 6 months of telemetry-specific nursing experience.
Prior travel nursing experience required.
Proficiency with Epic EMR required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience caring for cardiac and telemetry patient populations.
