Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Post-Op (2 North Med-Surg)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Med-Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio, including telemetry monitoring and post-operative care
Perform daily weights, vital signs, intake/output monitoring, hourly rounding, and bedside reporting
Administer and manage cardiac drips, heparin drips, CBI, phototherapy, IV starts, NGT, and foley care
Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, PCA pumps, epidural pumps, Ambit pain pumps, wound vacs (KCI & Prevena), Hoyer lift, and bladder scanner
Utilize Meditech Expanse (PCS) EMR for documentation and patient management
Float to ICU as needed for Med-Surg overflow patients; adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Telemetry experience required
Post-operative care experience required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Availability for every-other-weekend shifts and required holidays; RTO must be pre-approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
PALS certification preferred
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works well as part of a team
