Job Summary
nWe are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide quality care to our acute care population. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care settings and demonstrate compassion and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
n Unit: Inpatient Acute Unit
Unit Type: Occupational Therapy (OT)
Shift Length: 10 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Years of Experience: 2 years required
Floating Requirement: May float to another location when census is low
n Responsibilities
nThe Occupational Therapist will be responsible for treating patients on the acute care unit with various medical conditions, including but not limited to:
n Elective orthopedic post-operative cases (hips, knees, shoulders)
Medical patients, ICU patients, surgical patients
Patients in acute rehabilitation, observation units, and emergency departments
n Qualifications
n Required Certifications: BLS Certification (AHA)
Current Occupational Therapy License
Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting with a solid understanding of patient treatment plans and modalities.
n Shift Schedule
n 10-hour shifts with two weekend shifts each month
Additional two weekdays required
One summer and one winter holiday required
n Dress Code
n Black scrub pants
Black, royal blue, or "Christmas" red scrub tops
n Orientation
nNew hires will undergo a department-specific orientation with the Lead Occupational Therapist.
