Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Acute setting requiring MN OT licensure and 1+ year of recent inpatient hospital experience.
Details
Inpatient acute care hospital setting at a Level III trauma center
OT department caseload typically averages 30-40 patients
Diagnoses include general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro, and general medical-surgical cases
EPIC EMR used for charting
Day shift, Monday through Friday, no call or weekends
Will not work alone
May float to Outpatient as needed; cross-training to SNF preferred but not required
40 hours per week guaranteed
Requirements
Active MN Occupational Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
Active BLS certification through AHA required
Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience required (within past 3 years)
Acute care setting experience preferred
Additional Information
Evaluate and treat a variety of adult patient diagnoses in an acute hospital setting
Orientation includes computer-based organizational training plus 1-on-1 EPIC and department orientation
Dress code is charcoal grey scrubs, or polo shirts in ceil blue, khaki, gray, or chocolate brown, or business casual
All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
Candidates with prior employment at this health system must disclose this and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
