Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
Acute care hospital setting providing both inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy
Average daily census of 13 with 8 visits, 18 rooms, and 22 beds
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as neuro, orthopedic, respiratory, and general weakness
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
No weekend shifts required
Documentation completed in Epic and Wellsky
Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required
Requirements
Current OT license required if applicable
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
Epic charting experience required
Community hospital experience preferred
First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
Collaborate with Physical Therapy for provider support
Use SBAR communication method
Perform assessments, evaluations, discharge planning, and reassessments
Black scrub color required
Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted
Returning staff must have a 1-year gap since last assignment
Schedule changes may occur with two-weeks notice to balance unit needs
