Job description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Acute Rehab hospital unit requiring 2+ years of experience and current CA licensure.
Requirements
Current OT license required if applicable
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
Current CA state license required
Responsibilities
Acute Rehab department setting with floating to Acute Inpatient as census requires
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Evaluate and treat patients with illness, injury, or psychological/developmental impairments
Flexible shift assignments required, including varying days and hours
Develop and update patient Plans of Care based on evaluations and assessments
Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides, and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
Complete accurate documentation of patient care, including charge capture, per established standards
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including proper cleaning and inspection of equipment
Coordinate patient care effectively with other providers and support staff
Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
Maintain confidentiality of all patient health information in compliance with regulations
Accepts local candidates within 50-mile radius at local rate
Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
