Description
American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist specializing in hand therapy, requiring 2+ years of hand experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
Outpatient hand therapy setting split between two clinic locations
3 days at main outpatient hand clinic and 2 days at an affiliate clinic
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday
No floating required for this position
Adult outpatient hand clinic caseload including hand injuries, nerve injuries, tendon repairs, and reattachments
Requirements
Active OT license required if applicable
Minimum 2 years of experience in hand therapy required
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred
BLS certification required
Epic charting experience required
Expertise in custom splinting required
Experience with complex hand trauma and surgeries required
No new graduates considered
Additional Information
Perform evaluations, assessments, reassessments, discharge planning, and plan of care documentation
Utilize modalities including electrical stimulation, paraffin bath, ultrasound, and splinting techniques
Fabricate functional and static splints using materials such as Orthoplast
Provide patient and family education as part of treatment plan
First-time travelers will be considered for this role
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
Returning staff must have a gap of at least 6 months since their last assignment to be eligible
Requested time off must be submitted upfront and should not exceed 2 weeks
