Job description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 3 years of experience for an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation position at a Magnet-designated critical access hospital.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of pediatric OT experience required
Prior travel experience required
BLS certification required
NBCOT certification required
License required if applicable
Cerner charting experience required
Community hospital experience preferred
AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
Pediatric outpatient and pediatric rehabilitation facility setting
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00am-4:30pm
1:1 patient ratio
Cerner charting system used
Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
No on-call requirements
Provide pediatric OT services including evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning
Skills include activities of daily living, feeding, handwriting, neurodevelopmental treatment, sensory integration, and adaptive equipment assessment
Manage full caseload independently with minimal training required
Any solid color scrubs permitted
Critical access, Magnet-designated hospital with 25 staffed beds
First-time travelers not accepted for this role
Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
Requested time off ideally limited to 5 days or fewer
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Previous PRN or permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
Travel pairs not accepted
Parking permit required at no cost, arranged during orientation
