Job description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics with 1+ year experience for a 13-week outpatient pediatric rehab assignment on day shift.
Requirements
Active OT license required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of experience required
Pediatric therapy experience in an outpatient setting required
BLS certification required
EPIC experience preferred
Driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Responsibilities
Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation department setting
Treats 8-9 patients per day depending on shift length
8 or 10 hour day shifts, therapist's choice
40 hours per week
No weekend or holiday requirements
Centralized scheduling with 1-hour treatment session blocks
No self-scheduling, block scheduling, or special scheduling requests accepted
OT Manager/Supervisor present on each shift
Rehab Aides available for support, no COTAs at this location
EPIC EMR used
Treat general pediatric population including autism, developmental delays, rare genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, motor delays, coordination disorders, sensory processing disorders, and behavioral/emotional concerns such as ADHD, ODD, and anxiety
One week of unit-specific orientation and shadowing offered to learn scheduling pathways, Epic documentation, and patient demographics
Scrubs in any color or professional attire free of holes and rips permitted, closed-toe shoes required
Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius
First-time travelers will be considered
Former permanent employees must wait one year before applying for a travel assignment
