Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of relevant experience for a therapy department serving patients of all ages.
Details
Occupational Therapy department setting
Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
Weekend and holiday coverage limited to Saturdays
EPIC charting experience preferred
Requirements
OT License (IL) required if applicable
BLS (AHA) certification required
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
EPIC charting experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource for staff and students
Design and adjust individualized plans of care including goals, treatments, outcomes, and discharge planning
Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
Monitor care delivered by support personnel and provide regular feedback
Document evaluations, plans of care, and treatment modifications according to department policy
Perform patient transfers safely using appropriate body mechanics
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible;
local candidates not accepted
