Occupational Therapy Unit
Location: Wesley Medical Center
Address: 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214 - Floor: 1st

Unit Information
Number of Beds – OT Daily Census of approx. 250 active consults/day
Number of Staff – Headcount 30, FTEs 17.29
Type of staff:
2:1 OTR to COTA ratio
Patient Ratios – Typically 9-13 assigned to COTAs/day (not expected to see all)
Type of equipment – general acute care DME
EMR - Meditech
Typical Hiring Profile
Skill Set Most Recruited For: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must Have:
Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience
Active KS licensure
Preferred or Nice to Have:
Trauma Experience
Comprehensive Stroke Experience
List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s): OT treatments
Best Personality Fit:
Ability to work independently with little oversight; high accountability
Good communication and collaboration skills
Flexibility given the nature of practice in acute care

We have a very collaborative team and offer flexible scheduling to meet your needs. Our staff enjoy a great deal of autonomy in care planning for patients and work hand in hand with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of our patients and the community at large.
